AR Network Principal Heads To ‘Greatest Show In General Insurance’

Leeds-based commercial insurance broker and AR principal, Gauntlet Group, is to play a part in what has been billed as 'the greatest show in general insurance', having been short listed for the Insurance Times Awards for the second consecutive year.

Gauntlet is a finalist in the category of ‘Excellence in Motor Broking’, in which it will compete against six other brokers.

The short listing rewards a dedicated and rapidly expanding team, which offers not just insurance policies to motor fleets, haulage and bus and coach operators and taxi businesses, but on-point solutions and risk management consultancy that help the customer lower their risk, improve their claims experience and save considerable sums of money.

Additionally, they help fleet managers analyse their fleet in great detail, identify any weaknesses in the driving behaviours exhibited by employees on the road and ensure that no aspect of protection is overlooked.

All of this is delivered in a robust yet innovative manner, with Gauntlet’s account managers continuously seeking out new technologies and concepts that can assist the commercial motor customer.

This ‘more than a broker’ service is complemented by Gauntlet’s superb access to the whole of the insurance market, which means that a customer risk can be placed with a variety of different insurers. This gives the customer the opportunity to choose between different insurers, or opt for the most keenly priced quote.

Gauntlet director, Ian McCarron, will be representing Gauntlet at a glitzy gala awards evening, to be staged at the InterContinental London – The O2, on December 1. The organiser, Insurance Times, says this will “celebrate the very best of customer-focused firms” and is promising to lay on a night to remember, with an Arabian theme.

Ian McCarron says: “We are delighted to have been short listed in these awards for the second year in a row, which signifies that we are continuing to deliver exceptional service to our motor fleet customers, across the spectrum of the commercial insurance sector.

“Recognition like this, and the testimonials of our highly satisfied clients, are together enabling us to grow rapidly, which means we have employment opportunities here in Leeds on an almost continuous basis, at all levels from apprenticeships to account manager.”
